Fishing technique
Big Game Fishing in the Maldives
Trolling lures at speed for large pelagic species further offshore — usually a half-day or full-day trip.
How It Works
Big game fishing means trolling lures at speed for large pelagic species — tuna, wahoo, sailfish and marlin — usually a half-day or full-day trip further offshore, closer to the open ocean beyond the atoll rim.
Several resort-run and independent trips on record are tagged big game fishing, alongside our own Emperor charters, which run the same technique for yellowfin tuna and wahoo from Gaafu Atoll.
