Seenu Atoll was the highlight of our Maldives trip! We stayed at South Palm Resort and were amazed by the pristine beaches and incredible marine life. The British Loyalty Wreck dive was a once-in-a-lifetime experience - seeing such a massive shipwreck covered in coral and surrounded by fish was breathtaking. What makes Seenu special is the ability to explore local islands via the Link Road. We rented bicycles and spent a day visiting Hithadhoo and Maradhoo, interacting with locals and experiencing authentic Maldivian culture. The historical sites from the British era were fascinating too. If you want to experience the "real" Maldives beyond resort islands, Seenu Atoll is a must-visit!
We chose Seenu Atoll for our honeymoon because we wanted something different from the typical Maldives experience, and we weren't disappointed! Staying at Equator Village gave us a perfect mix of resort comfort and local exploration. The diving was exceptional - we saw manta rays on almost every dive, and the British Loyalty Wreck was incredible. The Link Road connecting the islands is such a unique feature - we loved being able to explore multiple islands and experience local life. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it takes longer to get here from Male compared to other atolls, but it's absolutely worth the extra travel time for the authentic experience and fewer tourists. Highly recommend for those looking to see a different side of the Maldives!
